COSMO-restaurants.co.uk is the online channel for the brand’s 18 restaurants located across the UK. The old site was an unattractive and outdated 800×600 site with an unappealing user experience. Our team defined personas, key information architecture and refined the user journey to simple steps, building upon COSMO’s existing relationship with BookATable.com to create a user centric design that neatly channelled all traffic to make a booking.
The platform is designed to be responsive first and is supported by an extensive database behind it. Using heavy analytics to track behaviour and to constantly develop and improve the platform to better suit the users’ needs. We learnt from our users every day and adapted to the ever-changing requirements and desires they have.
To grab visitors attention and demonstrate the authentic drama in the restaurants, the team were commissioned to direct and film on location, (currently featured on the homepage) showcasing the expert chefs skilfully preparing dishes. This was accompanied by a photoshoot to provide new hero images of the food for marketing & social media channels. Delivered from concept to launch within two months to ensure the Christmas seasons wasn’t missed, we couldn’t be more proud of this project.
Following the successful launch of the new site, we were then retained to deliver ongoing integrated marketing for the restaurant group. Strategy, repositioning, consistency and fully measured mar-comms where created, providing the brand with a firm foundation for future growth.
