Ricoh Global, the Tokyo based imaging and electronics company, presented us with the task of creating a new global campaign for the launch of the first B2+ automatic perfecting sheetfed inkjet press, running aqueous inks.
As with previous graphic arts campaigns, we developed a hero character to help bring the new machine to life, only this time they asked us to go further than the original 2D painted vectors we have created for past launches.
Say hello to the Pro™ Z75 Dragon, fondly named ZED by a Ricoh USA VP.
Whilst the teaser, introductory ads and assets have gone live, the full campaign is planned for launch in 2022.
Whilst Ricoh are keeping some of the details about the Pro Z75’s precise configuration and the technologies used under wraps for the time being, the press, which is about 12.5m long, can handle standard uncoated offset papers from 60-400gsm, or 73-400gsm coated.
