Paperchase was the UK’s leading stationery brand which had a highly focused retail strategy. We were invited to review the digital division of the business focusing on three key areas; website, marketplace and scope for a new digital product.
We started with a review of the digital team, recruited UX and UI digital product designers, dedicated Amazon trader and onboarded the team into Basecamp. Providing Paperchase with the best possible chance of executing/delivering a successful go forward digital strategy, the team was calibrated to include: digital trading, photography studio, senior analysis, product designers and nearshore website/mobile app engineering.
Within ten months the team had increased revenue +186% (£6m to £20m), margin to 67% and EBITDA +852%, along with a full alpha launch of mobile app (Paperchase Plus) with a range of print on-demand notebooks and greeting cards.
